ARCHOFACTS brings archaeology and history to life in the classroom through interactive, standards-aligned programs. From one-day workshops to multi-week residencies, our classes help students explore the past through hands-on activities.

Bring hands-on archaeology to your museum, library, or cultural center with expert consulting from ARCHOFACTS. We help organizations design interactive, educational programs that inspire curiosity, align with state standards, and engage young learners.

**Archofacts Field Trips are booked for the remainder of 2025/26 school year. We will announce when field trips are available for booking for the 2026/27 school year in May 2026.**

Melissa Allen was inspired to be an archaeologist when she was 8 years old after watching movies like Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Mummy, and Tomb Raider. She grew up to be an archaeologist in San Diego and started her business 'Archofacts' so she could teach children about a fun and adventurous career while also spending time with her 4 children. She teaches classes in archaeology, history, social studies, and geography by using real life archaeological methods and hands-on activities. She enjoys homeschooling and making memories with her family.

She has been an aide in classrooms, worked and tutored high school students in science, and worked with elementary school children. her husband is retired Navy, her daughter will be a college Sophomore in Fall 2023, and her son will be a 6th grader. She has been homeschooling her son for 6 years. She enjoys writing, crafting spending time with her family and working with children.

She completed her undergraduate degree with Bachelor of Science in Applied Exercise Science at
