Please reach us at Archofacts@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We accept out of pocket payments as well as charter funds for all the charters listed here: PCA, MVA, CPA, Elite, Freedom, Granite Mountain, Sage Oak, Suncoast, Excel, Springs, Element Education, Compass, SoCal charters under the vendor name "Archofacts Archaeology for Kids"
If you pay out of pocket for deposits, but use charter funds to pay for the full amount of the class, overpayments of the $50 deposits will be returned to you once charters have paid us. This usually takes 7 weeks after the first week of the semester.
Sometimes typing in just "Archofacts" or "Archaeology" will help it pull up. If it still doesn't show up, and your charter is a charter we are partnered with, please feel free to reach out to us directly at archofacts@gmail.com
Yes, the full price of the class covers one semester at HEC or 15/16 weeks.
No you do not! Everything is covered for our classes so just a snack, water, and a backpack is perfect :)
We do not exceed 15 students per class as to be sure that each student is getting the attention they need to be successful in their studies.
A Core class is a class that adheres to Charter school "I Can" statements, meaning, that they are aligned with what your student should be learning that year. Because we are using a multi grade level class like tk-2nd, and 3rd-5th etc. you will need to send your HST our syllabus at the beginning of the year and they will let you know if there is anything else you need to provide to supplement your child's learning at home.
An enrichment class is a class that your student takes to learn about a subject as a supplement to your child's learning at home. All of our classes offer a hands-on project/activity for each subject so we teach history differently, and in our opinion, in a more fun and memorable way!
Absolutely! Each week your child will be going home with a worksheet/art project/craft/activity and you are more than welcome to use those to fulfill charter work samples. Each Charter school is different with their sample requirements, but mostly they would need a picture of the project for example, the students name, learning period/date, subject, and small description of the project.
We take a 'nip it' approach to behavior in our classes. If we cannot redirect student's behavior or if the behavior continues to be disruptive these are our disciplinary policies:
1. Warning in class, class redirect, etc.
2. Email home
3. Suspension from class
4. Withdrawal from class
-Lewdness, dangerous behaviors, and Severely inappropriate conversations are subject to withdrawal immediately.
**We have seasoned teachers/mothers who teach our classes and we are equipped to handle behavior in class. We will always communicate with parents to receive support at home and in our 6 years of operation we have not had any issues with suspension or withdrawals.**
These policies are put in place so that everyone is able to receive the education they signed up for.
No we do not. We are independently contracted with many charter schools. We are an independent, small business, partnered with Homeschool Enrichment Centers and multiple charters.
